The MDS pre-fabricated outdoor substation is delivered fully assembled in a single-lift operation, direct to site, and with its compact size, minimises the space needed for installation. It is ideal for environmentally sensitive locations.

Features

Traditionally, the major elements of a substation are purchased from different suppliers. The customer then has to bear the cost of connecting the components together and the possible risk of damage during assembly. The Metalclad Distribution Substation eliminates this cost and risk as it is pre-assembled and factory tested before being delivered to site. An all-in-one solution, incorporating:
- A distribution transformer, either free-breathing or hermetically sealed - ratings are available from 200kVA to 1600kVA - (1)
- Either free breathing or hermetically sealed transformer
- A choice of dielectric fluids (mineral oil or Midel 7131 fluid)
Ringmaster range switchgear
- RMU, circuit breaker or switch disconnector
LV switchgear or fusegear options utilising SAIF, Shielded or NS Feeder Pillar ranges with latest ACB/MCCB circuit breaker technologies
- An integral stainless steel corrosion-resistant enclosure, powder-coated in a wide choice of colours
- Easy installation with full access to all components
